Job Summary
Barrett Materials is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team in Middletown, OH. The HR Generalist will play a vital role in supporting the human resources functions of our organization, ensuring that our HR processes run smoothly and effectively to meet the needs of our employees and the company.
Main Responsibilities
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Maintain and update employee records in compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback sessions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiatives that align with organizational goals.
  • Help organize and facilitate employee training and development programs.
  • Conduct exit interviews and assist with offboarding processes to gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations and stay updated on changes in employment legislation.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and assist in the resolution of employee relations issues as they arise.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably in a generalist capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
