BARK & MANE
be clean, be well & be loved
Founding Luxury Mobile Pet Groomer — Dog & Cat
Full-Time · W-2 · Hollywood · West Hollywood · Studio City · North Hollywood
Groom at the top of the market — and help build the brand.
Bark & Mane brings white-glove, one-on-one grooming to the doorsteps of LA's most discerning pet parents. We're an ambitious luxury startup, and we're hiring a founding groomer to help set the standard for premium mobile grooming in Los Angeles.
This is not an assembly line. No cages. No crowded shop. No one hovering over your shoulder. Just you and one pet at a time in a beautifully equipped van — unhurried, artful work for clients who expect excellence and reward it.
Cats welcome — and preferred. Gentle, skilled feline grooming is rare. If you're confident with cats, you'll be a standout here.
WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
• Ground floor. As a founding groomer, you help shape our standards, our craft, and our client experience — with a clear path to lead groomer and trainer as we add vans.
• Craftsmanship over volume. We compete on artistry, not appointment count. Your work is the brand.
• A premium clientele right in your backyard — Hollywood, West Hollywood, Studio City, and North
Hollywood.
WHAT YOU'LL EARN
• $75,000–$95,000+ per year as your book grows. Established groomers with a full schedule earn at the top of that range and beyond.
• 100% of your tips — and this clientele tips generously.
• W-2 employment, not 1099. Taxes handled right. Real stability.
• A fully equipped luxury grooming van, tools, and products provided — zero out of pocket for your kit.
• A humane schedule — roughly 5–6 grooms a day, thoughtfully routed to prevent burnout.
• Paid sick leave, with additional benefits as we grow.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Full-service premium grooming — bath, breed-standard and stylized cuts, nails, ears — for dogs and cats of every breed and size.
• Deliver our signature Well-Being WrapUp on every pet.
• Be the face of a high-end brand, building warm, trusted relationships with discerning clients and their pets.
• Drive and maintain your grooming van safely across our LA service area.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• 3+ years of professional grooming experience (salon or mobile), with work you're proud of.
 • Skilled and comfortable grooming cats (strongly preferred).
• Confident across all breeds and sizes, including breed-standard and stylized cuts.
• A craftsperson's eye, professionalism, warmth with clients, and a genuine love of animals.
• Ambitious  you want to build something, not just clock in.
• A valid California driver's license and a driving record acceptable to our insurer.
• Able to perform the essential functions of mobile grooming, with or without reasonable accommodation (including safely handling and lifting pets).
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• AKC S.A.F.E. certification a plus (we'll support you in earning it.)
HOW TO APPLY
Send your resume and a short note about your grooming experience — especially your work with cats — and what draws you to a growing luxury brand. If you have a portfolio, we'd love to see it. We can't wait to meet you.
