Job description

At Corbion, we exist to champion preservation in all its forms, preserving food and food production, health, and our planet.
We are hiring an IT Technical Engineer based at our Totowa, New Jersey facility. This is a full-time, onsite position and part of the North American IT Infrastructure team. In this role, you will help support and maintain enterprise technology systems across warehouse, distribution, and corporate environments. The position includes supporting Microsoft technologies, Cisco wireless infrastructure, virtualization platforms, backup systems, and Zebra RF handheld devices while providing responsive, service-focused support to employees and business partners.
This role may be a good fit for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, collaborative problem solving, and supporting reliable technology operations in a warehouse and distribution setting. The position requires thoughtful prioritization, clear communication, and the ability to support business-critical systems in a dynamic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support daily IT operations at the Totowa, NJ facility, including end-user support, incident resolution, service requests, and escalation of complex technical issues.
  • Provide responsive technical support across warehouse and office environments, with clear communication, timely follow-through, and a focus on positive user experiences.
  • Support ITIL-based service management processes, including incident, problem, change, service request, and asset management; maintain accurate ticket documentation and service records.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles, and help users understand technology best practices and company standards.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and activities that support SLA and KPI performance objectives.
  • Support Microsoft enterprise environments, including Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, endpoint management, operating system deployments, software packages, and security updates.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco wireless and switching infrastructure, including Wireless LAN Controllers, Catalyst switches, RF analysis, site surveys, roaming, authentication, latency, and connectivity issues.
  • Monitor network performance and help ensure reliable connectivity for mobile devices, RF scanners, printers, warehouse management systems, and other business-critical warehouse operations.
  • Configure, deploy, and support Zebra RF handheld devices, Android-based mobile computers, barcode scanners, label printers, wireless profiles, device provisioning, firmware, updates, and security settings.
  • Troubleshoot scanner hardware, software, barcode scanning applications, and warehouse management system connectivity to support inventory, receiving, picking, packing, and shipping functions.
  • Assist with mobile device lifecycle management, replacements, inventory tracking, and reliable RF device operation.
  • Support manufacturing and operational technology environments in collaboration with OT and automation teams.

Qualifications:
We are seeking candidates who bring a combination of the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Approximately 5 years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, including Microsoft Windows 11, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and other Microsoft enterprise products.
  • Experience supporting Cisco wireless infrastructure in warehouse and distribution environments, including Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers, RF troubleshooting, wireless site surveys, roaming optimization, LAN switching, and warehouse mobility solutions.
  • Experience supporting warehouse wireless infrastructure and mobile computing environments, including Zebra RF handheld devices, barcode scanners, label printers, and warehouse management systems.
  • Familiarity with configuring and supporting Zebra RF handheld devices, barcode scanning solutions, and warehouse mobility tools.
  • Experience working within ITIL-based service management processes, with a service-focused approach and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with teams across Corbion's global IT organization and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V, HPE Morpheus, and backup platforms such as Veeam Backup and Replication for virtualized and bare-metal devices.
  • Knowledge of IT security, network segregation and segmentation, SCADA platforms such as Wonderware, and OT equipment including historians, PI systems, and low-layer PLC instrumentation.
  • Ability to work safely in warehouse environments, including walking warehouse floors for extended periods and lifting up to 25-50 lbs. of IT equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Cisco CCNA certification with a focus on wireless and LAN preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
  • Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator certification preferred.
  • VMware and Veeam Backup certifications preferred.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, up to 25%, within the United States.

Working Conditions:The job is a full-time onsite position based in the Totowa, New Jersey facilities, with occasional travel to other Corbion US facilities for projects or team meetings.
Our offer
The anticipated compensation range for this position is $96,000 to $115,000. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type years of and experience within the industry, education, etc. Please note, Corbion is a multi-state employer and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations.
