Job description

Shake Bar Educator – Part-Time

Project LeanNation Middletown | Middletown, DE

Help People Build Healthier Lives

Project LeanNation Middletown is looking for a positive, energetic Shake Bar Educator to join our founding team.

As a Shake Bar Educator, you'll be one of the first people our members interact with when they visit the store. You'll prepare our made-to-order protein shakes, create an exceptional guest experience, and help members find products that support their health and wellness goals.

This is more than making shakes. We're looking for someone who enjoys people, believes in healthy living, and takes pride in creating an experience that makes members want to come back.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare shakes precisely to recipe standards, ensuring consistent taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Prepare shakes efficiently while maintaining PLN's quality standards.
  • Provide a clean, organized, and fully stocked shake bar throughout the day.
  • Welcome members with a warm greeting, eye contact, and genuine positive energy.
  • Engage members in conversation and learn about their goals.
  • Recommend appropriate shake add-ons and products based on member needs.
  • Support retail sales through natural, helpful communication—not high-pressure selling.
  • Assist with meal fulfillment, retail, and other store operations as needed.
  • Accurately enter orders and add-ons using the Square POS system.
  • Follow shake bar procedures including recipe standards, allergen awareness, product knowledge, and hygiene protocols.
  • Support and encourage other team members in maintaining shake bar standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and skills refreshers.
  • Help promote samples, featured products, and the Shake of the Month.
  • Help maintain a welcoming, clean, and energetic store environment.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate:

  • Enjoys talking with people and building relationships.
  • Has a positive, outgoing personality.
  • Is genuinely interested in health, fitness, nutrition, or wellness.
  • Takes pride in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Is dependable and takes ownership of their responsibilities.
  • Pays attention to detail and can follow recipes and procedures.
  • Can multitask and remain composed during busy periods.
  • Works well with a team and is willing to help wherever needed.
  • Is comfortable learning new technology and POS systems.
  • Brings positive energy and enthusiasm every day.

Previous experience in customer service, food service, fitness, wellness, hospitality, or retail is a plus, but not required.

Standards for Success

You'll be successful in this role when you:

  • Prepare cold, creamy, consistent shakes every time.
  • Create genuine conversations with members.
  • Connect products and add-ons to member goals without pressure.
  • Keep the shake bar clean, organized, and stocked.
  • Enter orders and add-ons accurately.
  • Create an experience that builds trust and keeps members coming back.

Growth Opportunity

As a founding team member, you'll have the opportunity to grow with Project LeanNation Middletown.

As you become comfortable with the Shake Bar and member experience, there may be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities including member support, lead follow-up, InBody assessments, training new team members, and other leadership responsibilities.
