Job description

Summary

Ensure that bar and equipment are properly maintained. Bar backs will assist bartenders and servers in making drinks and serving guests when needed or in the absences of a bartender. Maintain cleanliness of bar area according to Soboba Casino and Health Department standards while exercising TIPs procedures at all times.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Apply positive communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with guests, (internal and external) at all times.
  • Complete all set-up and closing duties in timely fashion.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar area, and equipment according to Soboba Casino and Health Department standards. Including but not limited to cleaning the floors, drains, mats, fridge etc.
  • Bar backs are responsible for the weekly deep cleaning and the deep cleaning of the bar mats when closing
  • Remove refuge from bar area as required.
  • Bar backs will assist bar porters from time to time with rotating and putting product away in the bars if asked
  • Maintain a clean bar and service bar throughout their shift.
  • Keeping the glassware washed, polished and put away
  • Pour drinks and serve guests when assistance is required or asked for by bartender
  • Prepare sodas for servers and assist them when needed.
  • Replace garnishes as needed.
  • Assist Bartender/Server with assigned duties as requested.
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time-to-time.


Education / Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age, or older.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.

Certificates, licenses and registration

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TIPs (Training for Intervention Procedures) Certification.
  • Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
