Job description

We are seeking a 2 to 4 years experienced Associate Attorney to join the creditor rights and civil litigation team. This hybrid role offers hands-on litigation, court appearances, lender client counseling, and strategic recovery work.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Draft and review pleadings, agreements, correspondence, and other legal documents related to replevin and impound recovery matters.

  • Conduct legal research, develop case strategies, and provide clear legal analysis and practical guidance to lender clients.

  • Negotiate workouts, settlements, and recovery resolutions with borrowers and other stakeholders.

  • Represent clients in court proceedings and in communications involving creditor rights and collateral recovery matters.

  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to improve workflows, maintain accurate reporting, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Active bar admission in Ohio, Kentucky, or Indiana, or eligibility for admission.

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in civil litigation, with familiarity in lender focused, creditor rights, collections, or related practices preferred.

  • Strong legal research, negotiation, case management, and written and oral communication skills.
