Job description

The Banquet Captain plays a critical leadership role in delivering exceptional event experiences and ensuring flawless execution of banquet operations. As a seasoned hospitality professional, the Banquet Captain leads banquet team members through event setup, service delivery, and breakdown while ensuring all banquet spaces are presented to Hyatt standards, and fostering a culture of teamwork, service excellence, and attention to detail.
This position makes a base hourly wage of $8.00 and receives a portion of the services charges from events.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate banquet associates to deliver exceptional service and memorable guest experiences.
  • Coordinate and oversee event setup, service, and breakdown activities.
  • Ensure banquet spaces are visually appealing and prepared according to event specifications and Hyatt standards.
  • Respond proactively to guest requests and resolve service concerns professionally.
  • Monitor food and beverage presentation, quality, and service execution.
  • Coach, train, and support banquet team members to drive performance and engagement.
