§ Duties:

The incoming Associate will serve as a primary litigator within the Business Restructuring & Reorganization group, managing adversarial proceedings and complex disputes arising from fiscal distress and corporate insolvency. This role requires a blend of traditional commercial litigation prowess and a deep understanding of the Bankruptcy Code.

Core responsibilities include:

⨖ Advocating for financial institutions, including CLOs and hedge funds, in high-stakes inter-creditor disputes and collateral challenges.

⨖ Managing all phases of debtor-side litigation, including the prosecution of preference actions, fraudulent transfer claims, and contested plan confirmations.

⨖ Providing strategic counsel on liability management exercises and the litigation risks inherent in out-of-court restructuring transactions.

⨖ Overseeing comprehensive discovery processes, drafting dispositive motions, and spearheading trial preparation for Section 363 asset sales and contested valuations.

⨖ Representing equity sponsors and institutional investors in distressed M&A disputes and complex claims resolution within the Chapter 11 framework.


§ Qualifications:

⨖ Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school with exemplary academic credentials.

⨖ Active Bar Membership in good standing within the State of New York.

⨖ A minimum of one (1) to five (5) years of intensive litigation experience, specifically focused on commercial disputes or insolvency matters.

⨖ Proven history of managing complex motion practice and discovery in federal or bankruptcy court settings.

⨖ Exceptional writing and analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex financial transactions into compelling legal arguments.
