Job description

Salary range: $275K - $400K
Location: New York, NY
On-site work policy: Remote may be considered on a case-by-case basis for candidates with a substantial portable book of business.
About this role
What we're looking for:
We need a deeply experienced debtor-side bankruptcy litigator with 8-10+ years of experience who can step into a functioning practice and gradually absorb a retiring partner's client relationships. You should be comfortable in the courtroom handling adversary proceedings and contested matters, with a track record of representing debtors in complex bankruptcy disputes. Bonus points if you bring a portable book of business.
What you'll do:
  • Lead debtor-side bankruptcy litigation matters including adversary proceedings, contested matters, and related disputes in bankruptcy court
  • Take ownership of an established practice as a retiring senior partner transitions out - absorbing decades of client relationships and active caseload
  • Work closely with the existing bankruptcy team (two partners) and the firm's broader commercial litigation group to deliver high-level representation
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, leveraging the firm's government relations platform and cross-practice referral network
  • Manage all phases of bankruptcy litigation from case strategy through courtroom advocacy and resolution
  • Contribute to the firm's long-term succession plan as a key member of the next generation of leadership
