Job description

Pay Range: $97,962.00 - $125,957.00This role may be filled in either Burlington, VT or Portland, ME. The successful candidate will support the market associated with their hired location. Candidates hired in Portland, ME will support the Maine market, while candidates hired in Burlington, VT will support the Vermont market.
Provides holistic advice and solutions to business banking customers with an advanced level of independence. Source, develop, and deliver business related products/services for our existing & new business banking clients. Focus on the production of new loan, deposit, & cash management solutions with an emphasis on technology and delivering extraordinary client service/experiences.

Education and Experience:

  • 4 year college degree or equivalent education and/or work experience
  • 5 years banking experience and/or business development experience
  • Minimum of 2 years direct business banking experience

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have the ability to perform responsibilities with an advanced level of independence.Strong business development skills.Strong communication (verbal & written) & presentation skills.Strong customer service skills.In-depth knowledge of Business Banking products/services - including loan, deposit, cash management, policies/procedures, industry trends, and technologies available to BB customers.In-depth credit skills.Broad knowledge of Consumer, Mortgage, Wealth, & Commercial related products/services.Ability to work independently & in a team environment.

Unique Job Characteristics and Requirements:

  • Must be available to attend/participate in external business development related functions/activities - often outside of traditional work hours.
  • Travel more than 50%
  • Driver's License required
  • Reliable transportation required

Tasks Performed:

  • 50% Generate new loan and deposit production.
  • 25% Provide expert level service and advice to business clients with regard to credit, deposit, and Cash Management solutions including the use of internal technologies to aid the customer experience.
  • 10% Make relevant referrals to business partners and regularly attend team related internal meetings.
  • 10% Participate in business development opportunities including partnering with branch personnel.
  • 5% Other duties as assigned.
