Job description

Job Title: Investment Banking Associate – Real Estate Advisory

Position Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptionally talented and motivated Investment Banking Associate to join our dedicated Real Estate coverage group within our global advisory practice. As a premier elite boutique, our core focus is providing pure, unbiased strategic advice on high-profile M&A, complex restructurings, spin-offs, and equity and debt capital raises for leading REITs, private equity sponsors, real estate developers, and corporate property owners worldwide.

In this role, you will act as a central lead on live deal execution—managing financial modeling workstreams, drafting transaction materials, guiding junior analysts, and maintaining direct communication with senior executives and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Execution & Sector Valuation

  • Lead day-to-day execution across live Real Estate transactions, including sell-side and buy-side M&A, carve-outs, LBOs, and debt/equity capital advisory.

  • Oversee and build comprehensive integrated 3-statement models, NAV models, DCFs, LBOs, accretion/dilution analyses, and property-level asset valuation sensitivities.

  • Direct real estate due diligence processes, managing data room operations and managing interaction with client management, legal teams, and accounting advisers.

Deal Preparation & Client Strategy

  • Lead the drafting of client presentations, Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs), pitch books, board decks, and public shareholder documents.

  • Conduct in-depth qualitative and quantitative research on real estate sub-sectors, macroeconomic indicators, property market trends, and competitive landscapes.

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Supervise, manage, and actively mentor junior analysts and interns, overseeing the quality, accuracy, and depth of their financial models and deliverables.

  • Help foster an inclusive, collaborative, and growth-oriented team environment where feedback and development are prioritized.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 2–4 years of Investment Banking experience (as an Analyst/Associate) with a strong foundation in M&A advisory. Direct exposure to Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging, or Infrastructure M&A is highly preferred.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related discipline from a top-tier institution (MBA preferred).

  • Financial Modeling Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of corporate finance principles, real estate financial modeling (NAV, LBO, DCF, M&A), and financial statement analysis.

  • Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills with a track record of interacting effectively with internal leadership and external client teams.

  • Licensing: Active FINRA Series 79 and Series 63 (or regional equivalent) preferred.

Why Join Us? (Culture, Mentorship & Elite Boutique Focus)

Elite Boutique Strategic Impact

Because we operate on a purely advisory basis without the conflicts of balance-sheet lending, our focus remains 100% on high-value, strategic M&A and corporate finance advisory for market-leading clients.

  • Mentorship & Long-Term Growth: Built on a collaborative, relationship-first ethos, our firm invests heavily in individualized coaching. You will work side-by-side with seasoned Directors and Managing Directors who are committed to your professional development and career progression.

  • Unrivaled Deal Access: Our lean execution team structures guarantee direct exposure to strategic deal-making, cross-border complexity, and board-level client dialogue on every mandate.

  • Supportive & Inclusive Culture: We pride ourselves on maintaining an environment where diverse perspectives are genuinely valued. We emphasize teamwork, intellectual rigor, integrity, and sustainable career longevity.

  • Competitive Compensation: Top-tier market base salary with attractive discretionary annual performance bonuses and comprehensive employee health and wellness benefits.
