Job Summary:

The Private Banking Associate I provides administrative support to the officers of the Private Banking Department. This position also provides prompt, efficient service and assistance to all Private Banking clients. The PBA I possesses a beginning to working knowledge of subject matter & handles basic to moderately complex issues, escalating the more complex issues to the PBA II or PB Senior Associate.

Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:

  • Prepares letters, memorandums, reports and credit/debit items; processes payments, advances, and wire transfer requests; assists officer in opening new accounts and preparing loan papers.
  • Helps to research and resolve customer problems, and provides quality customer service via telephone, email and in person to both internal and external clients
  • Assists lending officers on clean-up of documentation exceptions, requests financial statements when due and assists in the insurance monitoring of credit relationships
  • Processes foreign currency orders when needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • At least one year of administrative experience required
  • Banking experience and a beginning understanding of commercial and real estate lending is helpful, but not required

Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Exceptional clerical skills
  • Possesses good judgment
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Basic bookkeeping skills extremely helpful
  • Confidentiality is a must

Hiring Salary Range

The hiring range below reflects targeted base salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s prior related experience & education and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to base salary, most positions are also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program. Select positions may also be eligible to earn incentives and/or commissions. Hiring Base Salary Range: $24.00 - $28.00 plus annual bonus.
