The Role
JPCG is recruiting talented 2nd or 3rd year analysts to join the New York office and to support our growing investment Banking practice. Analysts will directly support senior bankers and are expected to handle a high level of responsibility in the execution of regular financings, distressed financing and restructuring transactions. Analysts work on small deal teams and have direct exposure to clients and senior bankers. Analysts bear responsibility for providing the rigorous analysis that supports the advice provided to clients. Analysts are expected to embrace a fast-paced environment, a high-level of responsibility and desire to grow their role in the team over time.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze companies, industries, historical financial statements and prospective financial information
  • Develop financial models, build cash flow projections and perform valuation analyses
  • Organize and executing due diligence processes
  • Conduct industry and company research
  • Prepare presentations and other materials for JPCG and its clients

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • US work authorization
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment
  • Undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution and stellar academic record
  • Prior experience working as an Analyst within a bulge-bracket, major or boutique investment bank is preferred (prior experience in restructuring, leveraged finance or debt capital markets is ideal)
  • Also open to Financial / Management Consultants who wish to transition to investment banking
  • Strong quantitative and financial statement analysis skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Bloomberg and other financial information tools (e.g., Capital IQ, etc.)
