Job description

SUMMARY OBJECTIVE:

Provide support in the development and implementation of new application systems, new software modules, and replacement application systems.ย  Assist with technical and operational support on application systems to include, but not be limited to; core banking system currently Bankway, nCino, Image Center, Connections, and additional systems upon request.ย  Gather, analyze, present information and implement projects as needed.ย ย 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Assume role of a co-project leader for new implementations of software and/or processes.ย  Assist the Project Leader and department through the operational change in the systems.

2. Provide ongoing technical and administrative support for various systems within the bank.

3. Perform administration duties on various systems such as working with FIS to setup new/terminated employees, reset passwords, security changes, establish default standards, new document types on Image Centre, etc.

4. Coordinate updates provided by vendor(s) and review the system for account and system accuracy to various systems to such as: Image Centre, Bankway, Telephone Banking and nCino, Connections.ย  Ensure formal Change Management processes are documented. Work with systems end-users to implement new functionality and services as determined by Management and/or Change Management.

5. Maintain, at least annually, various procedure manuals and user guides to ensure repetitive procedures are accurately completed in case of absenteeism, pandemic, or DRP.ย 

6. Support data communication activities with customers and business partners, assuring efficient and timely response to file transmissions. Be the advocate to procedures following standard encryption and information security policies regarding file/data transmissions.

7. Support ACH systems (Bankway or other) and activities as related to the accurate and timely processing of customer transactions as well as Account statement processing and customer delivery processes.

8. Coordinate activities with third party vendors on various systems as assigned. Work through problems reported and request system enhancements for deficiencies and work on planned future developments and implementations.ย 

9. Participate in the development of new products and services in various departments of the Bank.

10. Back-up the Internet Banking Administrator upon request.

This position requires no supervision of employees.ย 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:ย 

This job operates in a professional office environment.ย  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee is frequently required to: 1) Type or otherwise work with fingers; 2) Talk expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.ย  Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers or clients accurately, loudly, or quickly; 3) Hearing โ€“ perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with/without correction.ย  Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and make the discriminations in sound; 4) Specific vision abilities required by this job include: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.

Sedentary work may require occasionally lifting of up to 10 pounds and/or move up to 25 pounds.ย  This work involves sitting most of the time with walking and sitting.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Associates degree in Information Systems or related field is preferred or one or more years of experience in bank related operations is considered.
