What You Will Do:
The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) serves as the primary liaison between the system owner and the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM). The ISSO is responsible for maintaining the appropriate operational security posture for assigned information systems and ensuring compliance with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) requirements, National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework and Intelligence Community (IC) security policies.
What You Will Need:
  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a COUNTERINTELLIGENCE (CI) polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or STEM field
  • CURRENT Security+ certification (or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
  • THREE (3) or more years of experience in cybersecurity with minimum of TWO (2) years in ISSO/RMF roles

What Would Be Nice to Have:
  • Master's Degree in in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, RMF SP 800-53 Rev 5, DoD 8570/8140)
  • Experience utilizing enterprise cybersecurity risk management and governance tools (XACTA, ServiceNow)
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud security (Azure & AWS)
  • Experience with security Tools (ACAS/Nessus, Splunk, etc.)
  • Project management experience

The annual salary range for this position is $100,100.00-$150,400.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
