Job description



An enterprise financial services organization is seeking a Scrum Master in Vienna, VA. This role supports Agile delivery teams in a complex environment and focuses on facilitation, coaching, and continuous improvement across Scrum and SAFe practices.


About the Opportunity:




  • Shift: Day shift




  • Schedule: Monday through Friday (3 days per week onsite)




  • Hours: Standard business




  • Setting: Hybrid




Responsibilities:




  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.




  • Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to clarify priorities, manage backlogs, and support delivery goals.




  • Identify and remove impediments, manage dependencies, and escalate delivery risks when appropriate.




  • Coach teams on Scrum, Lean-Agile, and SAFe principles to strengthen accountability and self-organization.




  • Support team progress toward sprint goals, program increment objectives, and broader delivery milestones.




Qualifications:




  • 5-10+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, with a strong preference for 10+ years.




  • Experience supporting Agile teams in large, complex enterprise environments.




  • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Agile, Lean, and SAFe principles and practices.




  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and program-level events.




  • Strong coaching, facilitation, conflict-resolution, servant-leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.




  • Experience partnering with Product Owners on backlog management and prioritization.




  • Experience identifying and removing impediments, managing dependencies, and driving continuous improvement.




Desired Skills:
