Job Description

At U.S. Bank, we're committed to helping healthcare organizations grow, adapt, and thrive in an evolving industry. As a Healthcare Business Banking Sales Manager, you'll lead and support a team dedicated to serving healthcare clients with annual revenues ranging from $2.5 million to $50 million.

This role combines leadership, business development, and industry expertise to support healthcare organizations across a broad spectrum of care delivery models, including physician groups, specialty practices, dental service organizations (DSOs), outpatient providers, and ambulatory surgery centers.

You'll guide a high-performing sales team, cultivate influential healthcare networks, and partner across the bank to deliver solutions that help clients achieve their financial and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Healthcare Business Banking Relationship Managers and partner with healthcare leadership to support sales execution across assigned healthcare segments and markets.
  • Drive growth and market share across the healthcare continuum, from practice finance and smaller healthcare businesses through larger, more complex multi-location and lower middle market organizations with annual revenues between $2.5 million and $50 million.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies focused on acquiring new healthcare clients and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong networks with healthcare-focused centers of influence, including healthcare attorneys, CPAs, consultants, practice advisors, industry associations, and community leaders.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers to identify opportunities, deepen client relationships, and deliver a consistent client experience.
  • Collaborate across U.S. Bank to bring the full breadth of banking solutions to healthcare clients, including lending, treasury management, payment solutions, and other strategic services.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, and healthcare industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and market expansion.
  • Support sound risk management practices and ensure adherence to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and client-focused execution.
  • Contribute to strategic planning efforts that support sustained profitability and long-term market growth.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically 10 or more years of business banking or relevant experience.
  • Typically five or more years of management and leadership experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Significant experience serving healthcare organizations, including physician groups, specialty practices, ambulatory care providers, healthcare services companies, and other healthcare-related businesses.
  • Proven success leading business development efforts and growing market share within a healthcare-focused portfolio.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain extensive healthcare referral and center-of-influence networks.
  • Thorough knowledge of business banking products and services, commercial lending, treasury management solutions, banking operations, and current market trends.
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis, commercial underwriting practices, and risk management principles.
  • Experience working with larger and more complex healthcare organizations, including multi-location provider groups, healthcare services companies, and lower middle market healthcare businesses.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development skills, including the ability to develop bankers to pursue larger and increasingly complex relationships.
  • Well-developed analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple business lines to deliver comprehensive banking solutions.
  • Understanding of healthcare industry trends, operational challenges, reimbursement environments, and financial drivers impacting provider organizations.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $169,380.00 - 207,020.00
