Job Description:
The Senior Project Manager – Financial Institutions is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional initiatives that support banking products, operations, regulatory compliance, and business transformation within a financial institution. This role partners across lines of business — which may include deposits, lending, payments, wealth management, treasury, or digital banking — to drive strategic programs from concept through implementation.
Expectations:
Enterprise Project Leadership
  • Lead large-scale enterprise initiatives across banking and financial services lines of business.
  • Manage project lifecycle from initiation through closeout.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, and governance artifacts.
  • Facilitate executive steering committees and status reporting.
Business Operations amp; Transformation
  • Drive initiatives spanning retail and commercial banking, lending, deposits, payments, wealth management, or digital banking, as assigned.
  • Partner with Risk, Operations, Compliance, Finance, Technology, and Business Systems Implementation teams to deliver strategic initiatives, system implementations, process improvements, and digital transformation programs across the institution.
  • Support enhancements to core operational, servicing, and decisioning processes.
Regulatory Compliance amp; Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with applicable banking regulations and industry requirements.
  • Identify, mitigate, and escalate project risks and issues.
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, Audit, and Risk Management teams.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience
  • 8+ years of project management experience within banking, financial services, or other financial institutions.
  • 5+ years managing complex, cross-functional initiatives within a financial institution.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, or Lean Six Sigma certification.
