Job description

Bank Operations AnalystWe are seeking candidates for a Bank Operations Analyst position with an industry-leading private equity firm located in Boston, MA. The Bank Operations Analyst will support the Fund Administration team within the firm and serve as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders and external banking partners. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience working directly with financial institutions, managing AML/KYC documentation, and supporting operational processes in a fast-paced financial services environment. Experience within treasury operations, banking operations, or fund administration is highly preferred. This is a 6-month contract position that will pay $30-40/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour workweek. This position supports a hybrid work model, onsite 3 days per week, remote 2 days per week in their Boston Office.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the end-to-end bank account opening process for investment funds and legal entities.
  • Coordinate AML/KYC documentation and onboarding requirements with banking partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate document collection, signature routing, and communication with financial institutions throughout the account opening process.
  • Support borrower joinders for new credit facilities and verify account setup details following account activation.
  • Maintain accurate bank account records across treasury management and banking platforms, including account openings, closures, and updates.
  • Review and manage user access across banking portals while ensuring appropriate security controls.
  • Monitor low-balance accounts and coordinate funding requests with internal accounting teams.
  • Maintain investor and counterparty banking information within the Treasury Management System and perform regular data quality reviews.
  • Coordinate wire instruction updates from submission through final confirmation.
  • Assist with legal entity formation, entity maintenance, annual bank KYC reviews, and ongoing compliance requests.
  • Support additional treasury, banking, and operational projects as needed while identifying opportunities to improve existing processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in treasury operations, banking operations, fund administration, cash management, or a related financial operations role.
  • Hands-on experience managing bank account openings and coordinating banking onboarding activities.
  • Experience working directly with banks, treasury teams, custodians, or other financial institutions.
  • Strong understanding of AML/KYC requirements, banking documentation, and treasury operations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external banking partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience working with treasury management or banking platforms is preferred.
