Job description

Job Summary:

The Loan Operations Specialist ensures accurate and timely operations of the Bank's loan process to include but not limited to:  post loan closing review of loan documents, verifying and auditing loan input, following up for loan documentation files (credit/collateral), maintaining document tracking exceptions, performing loan research and resolving problems.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties listed below are some of the duties that may be assigned and may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job duties.

  • Review loans booked on the system for accuracy in accordance with the approval.
  • Maintain the physical and digital loan files.
  • Document collateral exception tracking/reporting.
  • Document financial / covenant related exceptions tracking / reporting.
  • Process / maintenance follow-up documentation / exceptions.
  • Communicate with the market regarding any research request.

Type and Scope of Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • This position has no supervisory experience

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must possess good communications skills, both written and verbal, in relation to internal and external clients and contacts
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify, analyze and resolve technical problems independently, as they relate to the Bank’s automated loan systems

Work Experience Required for this Job:

  • Minimum three years of experience in Loan Operations

Education Required for this Job: 

  • High School Diploma

Requirements:

  • Daily attendance is required during normal business working hours
  • In-person and/or hybrid attendance occasionally required for company, client and/or team meetings

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel:

  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of area and overnight travel may be expected
