Job Summary
The purpose of this job is to manage and direct the Bank’s Retail operations, its team members, and services to consumer and commercial customers. Works closely with the Director of Retail Banking to ensure all Retail policies, procedures and processes are compliant and efficient. Will oversee the lobby and drive-thru in a way that delivers superior customer experience. In addition, the Retail Branch Manager will provide operational and technical support to consumer and commercial customers as well as provide specialty project support to the Director of Retail Banking.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience or education.
• Three to five years’ experience in a financial institution, preferably in a retail environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy
• Proficient customer service skills
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Good organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
• Thorough understanding of retail bank applications and products

Essential Job Functions
• Oversees teller and professional banker teams which include supervising and evaluating team
member performance, managing staff problems, and designing work schedules.
• Provides extensive personalized customer service to depositors, cross-marketing products, and 
services needed to generate new business for the financial institution when appropriate.
• Meets with and assists potential customers, handling all the details of opening new accounts
when needed.
• Develop and maintain Retail policies, procedures, and processes to ensure they are compliant and 
efficient and in adherence to the Bank’s strategic direction.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and yearly Retail audits in a timely and accurate manner.
• Responsible for managing and resolving account exceptions for the Retail team.
• Oversee Retail logistical and operational needs, including, but not limited to, coordinating cash
needs for bank locations.
• Oversee the functional operation of the bank’s ATM fleet placing service tickets and following
up, as needed
• Onboard customers into the appropriate technological and/or digital banking platforms, as
determined by retail and other officers of the bank
• Onboard customers into the appropriate treasury products and services, as determined by retail
and commercial officers
• Implement technological or logistical solutions that will deliver enhanced customer experience
• Research transactional outages, complete appropriate corrections, when applicable
• Handle external or internal customer complaints and problems, resolving issues utilizing
knowledge of Bank policies and procedures
• Participate in the development and training of Retail team members
• Participate in Retail staff meetings to review problems, policies, procedure updates and
activities within the Bank
• Serve as backup to the Director of Retail Banking as related to Retail operations, or other
associates when necessary
• Support the Director of Retail Banking with any assigned Retail operations or specialty
projects
• Execute other tasks and duties as assigned by bank leadership
Work Environment
Work is performed both standing and at a desk with regular contact with customers and other team members, in person and on the phone. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to communicate effectively with others while standing, sitting or walking, and using hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens.
