What will you do?

The Branch Supervisor is responsible for supervising the Banking Specialist I & II's as well as the day to day operation of the teller line, including account overrides and opening/closing. Manage branch staffing levels and schedules in coordination with the Branch Manager to ensure coverage. Maintain customer relationships by performing efficient and accurate banking transactions; opening accounts as well as account and person maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Supervision of Banking Specialists I & II and the daily running of the teller line.
  • Oversight of assigned branch operations in the absence of branch management.
  • Assist in the daily operations of the assigned branch including deposits, withdrawals and other financial interactions.
  • Assist staff members with complex transactions and the resolution of customer issues.
  • Engage customers while establishing deposit accounts, and accurately processes teller transactions and ancillary services.
  • Sell and cross sell bank products.
  • Collaborate with Banking Specialists I and II to assist in daily branch office activities including balancing and the auditing responsibilities of vaults and ATMs; comply with bank operations and security procedures by participating in dual control functions.
  • Oversee and assist in the training of new branch staff and development of current staff; cross train as needed.
  • Assist in the growth and management of the branch portfolios
  • Adhere to established New Valley Bank and Trust customer service standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality and efficiency of service.
  • Deliver a positive customer experience.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Skills, Experience and Abilities

  • 3-5 Years of progressive retail banking knowledge and experience.
  • Supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
  • Cash handling and customer service experience in a financial institution
  • Experience in establishing deposit and loan accounts preferred.
