Merchants Bank is seeking an experienced Digital Banking & Payments Manager to lead the strategy, administration, and continuous improvement of the Bank's digital banking and payment services. As the Bank's primary expert in digital channels and payment solutions, this individual will oversee online and mobile banking platforms, ACH, wire services, RTP, bill pay, Zelle, Positive Pay, and related technologies while driving key modernization initiatives, vendor partnerships, and regulatory readiness. This is a highly visible role that combines industry expertise, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver innovative, secure, and customer-focused banking solutions.

  • Own the administration, enhancement, and ongoing optimization of the Bank's digital banking and payment platforms, including online banking, mobile banking, ACH, wire transfers, RTP, bill pay, Zelle, Positive Pay, and related services.
  • Serve as the Bank's subject matter expert for digital banking and payment solutions, providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, regulatory requirements, and payment network changes.
  • Manage relationships with digital banking, payment, and technology vendors, ensuring service quality, issue resolution, system enhancements, and strategic alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee the performance, functionality, and security of digital banking and payment systems to ensure a reliable and seamless customer experience.
  • Lead system implementations, upgrades, conversions, testing efforts, and payment modernization initiatives, coordinating activities across business lines, technology teams, and external vendors.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable regulations, network rules, audit requirements, and internal controls related to digital banking and payment operations.
  • Evaluate business processes and system capabilities, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions that enhance efficiency, customer experience, and operational effectiveness.
  • Partner with Treasury Management, Retail Banking, Operations, and Business Technology teams to gather requirements, prioritize enhancements, and deliver solutions that support strategic goals.
  • Manage and optimize CSI core banking integrations and related digital banking technologies, ensuring systems effectively support the Bank's products, services, and future growth.
  • Develop communications, procedures, and training resources related to product enhancements, system changes, and new service offerings for employees and customers.

Requirements

  • Certified Treasury Professional
