Summary: Provide service toBank customers by conducting transactions, assisting with inquiries, andresolving issues in a timely manner. In addition, through customerinteractions, identify opportunities to cross-share Bank products and serviceswith referrals to a platform employee or other Bank department.
Duties andResponsibilities:
  1. Provide high quality service to every customer i.e. smile, greet, address by name, timely assistance, etc.
  2. Develop working knowledge of bank products/services via training, Bank website, intranet information, meetings, etc.
  3. Identify opportunities to cross-share Bank products/services and refer customers to a platform employee or appropriate Bank department.
  4. Assist with customer account inquiries i.e. service charges, balances, account history, etc.
  5. Refer customers to a platform employee for transactions or questions that cannot be addressed at the teller line
  6. Protect customer privacy and maintain confidentiality
  7. Adhere to all Bank policies/procedures
  8. Receive checking/savings deposits and withdrawals: verify cash, endorsements, identification, and issue receipts
  9. Determine proper funds availability for checks cashed or deposited based on Bank and regulatory requirements
  10. Complete Regulation CC Holds, as needed
  11. Redeem U.S. Savings Bonds
  12. Issue money orders, cashier's checks
  13. Assist safe deposit box customers
  14. Accept loan payments: verify payment amount, ensure proper loan payment code, and issue receipts
  15. Buy/sell cash from vault as necessary, ensuring teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded
  16. Balance teller drawer daily, including locating cash discrepancies
  17. Perform end of day balancing and Teller Capture balancing
  18. Complete Currency Transaction Reports (CTR), Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR), and Monetary Instrument Logs (MIL)
  19. Refer customers to the Head Teller or Branch Manager for issues that you cannot resolve
  20. Balance ATM and load cash into ATM
  21. Ensure teller station is properly supplied and neat
  22. Maintain security of teller station including keys, combos, cash drawers, and teller work
  23. Promote and maintain positive relations with all employees, contacts, customers, and potential customers.
  24. Represent the bank in business development efforts and civic and community functions.

Experience and Other Requirements
  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. 1 year of customer service experience
  3. 1 year of cash handling experience
  4. Must possess the ability to interact positively with all levels of the organization, including Management, the Board, Coworkers, and the Public.

5. Excellentoral, written, telephone, organizational and interpersonal communication skillsrequired.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft applications,including Word and Excel.
7. Must be proficient using e-mail andthe internet.
