The Business Intelligence and Reporting Analyst is responsible for developing, enhancing, and automating recurring and ad hoc reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions that support strategic decision-making across the Bank. This role partners closely business stakeholders, and IT teams to identify opportunities, improve reporting frameworks, streamline processes, and deliver meaningful data insights and KPIs.
The position supports both traditional and cloud-based analytics platforms, including AWS services such as Amazon QuickSight, S3, Glue, and Lambda, as well as Microsoft Power Platform technologies including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio. Working within an Agile framework, successful candidates will possess strong analytical, technical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Works closely with FPA partners on package / dashboard design and to validate business requirements and data integrity.
  • Conducts analysis and builds meaningful reports and visualizations or dashboards from raw data for consumption by multiple stakeholders.
  • Works closely with IT partners to ensure the data framework continues to meet the requirements.
  • Extracts data from source systems and, where applicable, builds automation routines.
  • Apply data analytics and modelling to identify financial opportunities for business lines.
  • Assists team leader and department leadership in identifying opportunities and requirements.
  • Works on continuing implementation of relevant software and system updates.
  • Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
  • Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
  • Identifies and reports suspicious activity.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or another related STEM field required.

Experience
  • Working knowledge of AWS cloud services, including Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Streamlit and Amazon QuickSight, with the ability to support data ingestion, transformation, automation, and reporting processes.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, ETL/ELT processes, and automated data pipelines is preferred.
  • Prior experience working in an Agile framework preferred.

Licenses and Certifications
  • MBA, CFA, FRM or progress towards any of these designations preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Understanding data warehousing, data governance, and reporting best practices within a regulated environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps and Power Automate, preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio, AI-assisted workflow automation, and conversational agent development preferred.
  • Financial services, banking, FP&A, accounting, or financial reporting knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to understand financial statements, key financial metrics, and business drivers preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships across different divisions within the entire company.
  • Ability to understand the business context and value derived from reports and dashboards.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel preferred, working knowledge required.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to articulate complex concepts into a format digestible by a diverse audience.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, manage competing initiatives and adapt to an ever changing work pace with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to design and develop reports and dashboards using SQL-based tools.
  • Some proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python and SQL.
