Customer Service Representative

A State Savings Bank Customer Service Representative exemplifies a "Yes, I can!" approach to customer service and is responsible for providing prompt and efficient service when handling customer transactions. A Customer Service Representative is expected to be available to work Monday through Saturday.

Tasks

· Accurately process transactions such as check cashing, deposits/withdrawals, and loan payments.

· Issue Money Orders, Cashier's Checks, and Gift Cards.

· Balance cash drawer with minimal or no discrepancies.

· Responsibly buy and sell cash to main vault to stay within set drawer limits.

· Accurately prepare and transmit transaction ticket work.

· Identify counterfeit money.

· Cash US Savings Bonds.

· Answer telephones, file paperwork, and maintain office supplies.

· Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account history.

· Cross-sell bank products and services and refer customers to appropriate areas as needed.

· Follow bank policies and procedures.

· Maintain professional, business-like appearance.

· Perform other tasks requested by supervisor related to daily operations of the bank.

Requirements

· At least 18 years of age

· High school or higher education level

· Excellent customer service skills

· Strong communication skills

· Computer skills

· Cash-handling experience

· Ability to work well under pressure

· Accurate and well-organized
