The Work

ย 
Theย Technical Initiatives Analystย will lead, drive and support TWS projects with various practice and governance related activities.ย  They will also perform other Service Desk technician duties as assigned as and when necessary.ย 
The Core Responsibilities!
  • Drive the Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Controlling and Closure of projects in adherence with corporate and departmental policies including Enterprise Change Management and Project Management methodologyย ย 

  • Facilitate meetings, documentย minutesย and follow up on risks, action items, issues and decisions (RAID)ย ย 

  • Develop the skills to act as a Trusted Advisor that provides leadership oversight and proactive advice on how best to steer project teams and deliver project goals while operating with full transparency as it pertains to issues and risks - which includes knowing when to communicate to the right people at the right timeย ย 

  • Develop skills to facilitate and/or lead multi-functional project teams incl vendors to help them overcome barriers and perform at their best, particularly through times of ambiguity and/or changes in project directionย ย 

  • Support detailed planning at all levels to understand the work,ย responsibilitiesย and dependencies to set the right expectations, ultimately enabling on-time deliveryย ย 

  • Help engage stakeholders and manage governance forums to ensure timely and transparent & effective decision makingย ย 

  • Support the management of Financials/Budget and navigate EQBs financial processes to ensure approval of funding and disciplined cost managementย ย 

  • Service Desk duties as assignedย ย ย 

Let's Talk About You!
  • Post-secondary education (diploma/degree), preferably in computer science, business, finance, or comparable disciplineย ย 

  • Work experience in TWS/end user services (tools, processes)ย ย 

  • 3+ years' Project Management / coordination experience or related disciplineย ย 

  • Agile/Scrum experience or certification is recommendedย ย 

  • Change mgmt. experience with EQB employeesย ย ย 

  • Developing communication skills bothย verbal, written and the comfort to speak in front of an audienceย ย 

  • Knowledge of SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, MS Office Tools, business systems, technology infrastructure, software development, data warehousing, data centres and related concepts/terminology are also assetsย ย 

  • Ability to work independentlyย ย ย 

  • Good time management, analytical andย problem-solvingย skillsย ย 

  • Effective Risk Management & Issue Resolutionย ย ย
