Job Title: Scrum Master/Project Manager - Banking & Finance
Location: Jacksonville, FL / Charlotte, NC
60 percent Scrum Master
40 percent Project Manager
Longterm Contract
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Project Manager with a strong background in Banking & Finance to lead Agile teams and ensure the successful delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Agile methodologies, project management, stakeholder communication, and risk management, along with domain knowledge in banking and financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, etc.) and ensure adherence to Scrum principles.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive project delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to define project goals and priorities.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements in banking and finance projects.
  • Monitor and track project progress using Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
  • Implement best practices for continuous improvement and Agile maturity.
  • Communicate project updates, roadmaps, and reports to senior management and key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMP, SAFe Agile, PMI-ACP.
  • Experience: Proven experience (8-10) as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, or Agile Coach in Banking & Finance projects.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, Rally, etc.), Microsoft Project, and other project management tools.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of banking products, financial services, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
