Job description

The Accounting Intern will work onsite at our Roland, Iowa office.  They will work individually and/or as part of the Credit, Accounting, and Payroll team to accomplish the following duties:

Duties

  • Accounts Payable- assist in processing, coding, and entry of various accounts payable transactions
  • Account Reconciliation- Tie supporting documentation to ledger accounts each month.  Investigate variances and propose solutions for out of balance accounts while working with members of the team
  • Documentation- work on documenting accounting procedures and processes, update current documents
  • Month End- assist with various month end close duties
  • Treasury Functions- assist with daily treasury functions as needed including bank transfers, daily wire and ACH processing, bank deposits, and transfers
  • Tax- Assist with tax and other governmental reporting and filing including sales and use tax, motor fuel tax, and checkoffs
  • Provide backup when others are out of the office
  • Fixed Asset Review-work with location managers to review fixed asset lists
  • Data clean up and collection-work on cleaning up data in system
Education and/or Experience:
  • High School diploma and working towards an ag business, accounting, or other related business degree.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  •  Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
