Job description

Under the supervision of the Cage Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the controlling and accounting transactions for the main bank. Other duties as assigned by management.

  • High school diploma or GED required. Three to six (3-6) months of cash handling experience is required; or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. 

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check.

  • Must possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older and be able to obtain an Indiana Gaming License. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required. 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Responsible for fostering a fun environment. 

  • Responsible for being gracious to all guests and co-workers. 

  • Responsible for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company-sponsored events. 

  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. 

  • Ensures that behavior and appearance are in compliance with established standards. 

  • Maintains a professional work environment with management and staff.

  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Also required are frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing steps and sitting.

  • Must be able to work in a loud and noisy environment. 

  • Horseshoe Indianapolis Racing & Casino is a smoking establishment.

  • Access to general gaming floor.

  • The Main Bank Cashier has access to the following sensitive keys: Cage toke box key, Main Bank cabinet padlock key, Cage padlock keys, kiosk cabinet and cart key, kiosk top key, kiosk floor cash box to chassis key, kiosk cash box key, kiosk floor main door key, kiosk floor secondary main door key, ATM keys, jackpot station t-bar key, jackpot station cash box key, jackpot station main door key, jackpot station BVA, Cage money bag keys, Cage white jackpot slip box in JXC, Western Money secondary main door key, Poker Room Cage door key, and vending machine keys.

  • Main Bank Cashiers provides excellent customer service to employees and vendors in all situations. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Horseshoe Indianapolis Racing & Casino policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and Indiana Gaming Regulations. 

  • The Main Bank Cashiers may perform the duties of a Cage Cashier based on business volumes and needs. 

  • During any shift that a Main Bank Cashier will be used to perform as a Cage Cashier they will not also work as a Main Bank Cashier at any time during that shift.
