As a Medical Office Assistant for Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, you'll:
  • Provide excellent customer service to our patients at JHCP.
  • Receive incoming and make outbound telephone calls to schedule appointments, process patient medication refills, process referrals, and take messages for the providers.
  • Check patients in and out, collect copays, and respond to patient messages.
  • Verify insurance and collect demographics.
What You'll Need to be Successful:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years experience in healthcare or customer service preferred.
    • EPIC experience is very helpful!
  • Ability to successfully pass all required training to obtain security access to perform role. Includes, but not limited to: Electronic medical record training, Insurance training-foundations, government and commercial.
Salary Range: Minimum 17.37/hour - Maximum 28.68/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
