Job Overview:

As a Dunbar Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

Guest Service:

o Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.

o Seat guests promptly and efficiently, considering their preferences and party size.

o Manage wait times and inform guests of estimated wait times.

o Answer guest inquiries and address concerns promptly.

o Assist with special requests and dietary restrictions.

Reservations:

o Manage reservations and maintain accurate records.

o Confirm reservations and update the reservation system.

o Handle cancellations and modifications efficiently.

Restaurant Operations:

o Monitor Dunbar capacity and seating arrangements.

o Assist with table setups and resets.

o Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area.

o Coordinate with the waitstaff to ensure smooth service.

Additional Duties:

o Assist with other Dunbar duties as needed, such as bussing tables or food running.

o Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Positive and outgoing personality.

Basic computer skills and knowledge of reservation systems.

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
