Job Summary

The Baler Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining an automatic baling machine used for processing scrap foam materials. The position plays a critical role in ensuring material is properly baled, recorded, and prepared for shipment, while maintaining cleanliness and adhering to all safety protocols within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Essential Job Functions & Duties

  • Operate the baler and related equipment according to safety and operational procedures.
  • Follow all safety rules and company practices, including use of required PPE.
  • Feed scrap foam into the shredder and baler machines.
  • Accurately weigh foam bales and record bale weights.
  • Load baled scrap foam into trailers or trucks for shipment.
  • Retrieve scrap foam from production areas as directed.
  • Handle returned goods and process appropriately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baler area.
  • Clean the baler regularly and notify maintenance of any issues or malfunctions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
