Position Summary
The Director of Bakery & Warehouse is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational performance, and overall management of the company's bakery production and warehouse distribution functions. This position provides direct leadership to the Bakery Manager and Warehouse Manager, ensuring alignment across production, distribution, logistics, and store service needs. The Director is accountable for driving efficiency, product quality, safety, and cost control across all areas.

Key Responsibilities - Bakery Operations
• Provide leadership and oversight of bakery manufacturing operations producing donuts and fresh baked goods nightly.
• Ensure consistent product quality, freshness, and adherence to company standards.
• Oversee production planning and execution to meet strict nightly delivery timelines.
• Monitor production efficiency, labor utilization, and ingredient control to minimize waste and cost.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with the Bakery Manager to drive continuous improvement and team development.
Key Responsibilities - Bakery Distribution
• Oversee bakery delivery operations to ensure accurate and on-time delivery to all stores.
• Provide direction on route optimization, scheduling, and delivery performance.
• Ensure proper oversight of bakery drivers, including safety, training, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities - Warehouse Operations
• Lead warehouse operations including receiving, inventory management, order picking, and distribution.
• Oversee inventory control processes including rotation, shrink management, and accuracy.
• Partner with the Warehouse Manager to optimize layout, workflow, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities - Transportation & Logistics
• Oversee Class A drivers responsible for delivering grocery products to stores.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Monitor routing, delivery schedules, and service levels to stores.
Leadership & Team Development
• Lead and develop the Bakery Manager and Warehouse Manager to ensure strong execution.
• Establish clear expectations, performance standards, and accountability.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies.
• Maintain a safe working environment across bakery, warehouse, and transportation operations.
• Promote a safety-first culture across all teams.
Requirements:
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of leadership experience in food production, warehouse, distribution, or logistics.
• Experience managing multi-functional teams including production, warehouse, and transportation.
• Strong understanding of food safety standards and warehouse operations.
• Experience with routing, logistics, and fleet management.
• Proven ability to lead managers.
• Strong financial and operational acumen.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
