???? HERO Diner is one of four restaurants opening in the new, innovative dining & entertainment complex at Valley Post.Back-of-House Team Members / Bakers – Hero Doughnuts (Valley Post)

We’re looking for friendly, dependable Back-of-House Team Members to help create a welcoming experience for every guest who walks through our doors.

About the Role

As a BOH Team Member / BAKER, you will be responsible for opening the bakery early in the morning, mixing dough, and preparing fillings and glazes. Responsibilities include food quality management, training, proficiency in using our baker management tools, safety and sanitation practices, working to ensure the best food cost and food waste in the bakery department, and execution to offer fresh and delicious goods to our customers on a daily basis.

This role is ideal for someone with strong people skills who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude

  • Knowledge of proper food safety and handling procedures

  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Preferred:

  • Previous experience using standard kitchen equipment, knives, scales, mixers, stock pots, grills, stoves, ovens, fryers, and other tools or utensils

  • Familiarity with food service operations

Responsibilities
  • Sets up, stocks, and organizes all workstations and maintains a clean and sanitized workstation and equipment throughout the shift. 
  • Correctly sets up, operates, breaks down, and cleans all station equipment

  • Prepares all bakery doughnuts, bread, cakes and specialty items using recipes.

  • Prepares, proofs, and cooks the dough

  • Mixes various ingredients to create fillings, glazes ,and toppings 

  • Decorates doughnuts and other bakery items

  • Comprehends all production tools and can use them in daily operations

  • Maintains proper food storage temperatures and rotation using the FIFO Method.

  • Handles multiple priorities and works well under stress

  • Collaborate with teammates and management to ensure smooth service

  • Complies with all health and safety regulations
