La Segunda Central Bakery, proudly family-owned and operated for over a century, is a beloved institution known for its authentic Cuban bread, handcrafted pastries, and genuine hospitality. From our roots in historic Ybor City to our café locations across the Tampa Bay area, we are committed to quality, community, and the people who make it all possible.
ROLE OVERVIEW
At La Segunda, our Delivery Driver is the face of our brand on the road. You will deliver our fresh, authentic bread to local routes and major venues including stadiums across the Tampa Bay area - representing 100+ years of community partnerships with professionalism and a smile.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pack orders, load and unload products using racks and trays
• Deliver bread and bakery products to local wholesale customers and stadium accounts
• Execute professionalism with customers who have trusted La Segunda for over 100 years
• Verify orders and obtain confirmation or signature upon delivery
• Safely operate a 16 ft box truck (no CDL required)
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and report any discrepancies to Shipping Manager
• Conduct pre-shift vehicle inspection and report maintenance needs
• Return undelivered product and complete end-of-shift paperwork
• Be open to change in a fast-paced, growing operation
WHAT YOU BRING
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no CDL required)
• Comfortable operating a 16 ft box truck
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to pass a background check
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong sense of urgency, ability to multi-task, and adaptability
• Ability to routinely lift 20-50 lbs
