Description

The Central Bakery department bakes, prepares and delivers products to numerous other IGA and Buehler's stores in SW Indiana.


They are currently looking for a FT bread baker, and another PT person to work doing production in this area.  In addition, they are looking for a PT delivery driver.  Must have valid driver's license.


 Key Responsibilities (baker)

  • Food Preparation: Measuring ingredients, kneading dough, setting oven controls, and monitoring baking times based on standardized recipes.
  • Finishing & Presentation: Decorating pastries and cakes, icing, glazing, and arranging items neatly in display cases.
  • Customer Service: Greeting customers, answering product questions, taking custom orders, and suggestive selling.
  • Sanitation & Compliance: Cleaning work areas, sanitizing equipment, and adhering to strict health, food safety, and OSHA regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Rotating stock, packing fresh-baked goods, pricing items, and managing raw ingredient supplies. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Qualifications & Physical Demands

  • Physical Capability: Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend and stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
