Hi-Rise Bread Company is hiring a Prep Assistant for their bread and pastry departments. Hi-Rise is a small, independently owned bakery and cafe well known for its breads and pastries at its two Cambridge locations. Using carefully-sourced ingredients and making everything from scratch, Hi-Rise is committed to producing the highest quality baked goods in a comfortable neighborhood setting.


The Bakery Prep Assistant is a key team member, contributing to the successful operation of both the bread and pastry departments. Responsibilities include scaling wet and dry ingredients according to recipe specifications, assembling and preparing equipment for use, and some inventory management of dry goods. Precision, speed, and an attention to detail are key, as is a desire to work independently within a complex, fast-paced work environment.


Prior baking experience or work in food service is not required, and seasonal work is possible. This is a great introduction to the world of professional baking!
