Do you have a passion for the culinary arts? If you enjoy creating exceptional food experiences you might be a great fit for a Bakery Assistant/Cake Decorator at Walters Wedding Estates. 

Walters Wedding Estates, a Walters Hospitality brand, is actively seeking professional, self-motivated, skilled cake decorators/bakery assistants to create dream wedding cakes for our Brides in a fun working environment. This person can adapt and learn quickly. 

This is a part-time position only. This employee will be scheduled when needed and schedule fluctuates in line with how busy wedding season gets. There will be weeks where you may not be needed during slow periods. Normal bakery operating hours are 7am-3pm. Weekend availability required for deliveries - must have clean driving record and be able to carry 50lbs.

Job Overview and Requirements:

  • Location: Houston, TX
  • Job Hours: Part-Time, Hourly with the opportunity for advancement
  • Pay: $15-$18 per hour
  • Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent, culinary degree preferred
  • Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of cake decorating experience 
  • Certifications: ServSafe Food Handlers or equivalent
  • Physical Requirements: Able to stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs.
