HIRING IMMEDIATELY: BAG MACHINE OPERATOR IN BROWNSVILLE, TX
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Bag Machine Operator to join our team in Brownsville, TX. This individual will be responsible for operating machinery, visually inspecting outgoing products to ensure quality, and packing/stacking bag bundles dispensed by the machine. Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • $12 to $13/hour
  • Excellent package including medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 2nd Shift: 2:45 pm – 11:00 pm & 3rd Shift: 10:45 pm – 7:00 am
  • Location: Brownsville, TX

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Continuously perform all required tasks safely, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures
  • Check bags at the machine for quality defects; perform all quality checks and paperwork according to the Quality Policy
  • Follow all quality policies and procedures. Must comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Comply with all safety practices and guidelines, including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements
  • Change rolls, perform manual splices, maneuver rolls into position, adhere the roll to the machine web, and adjust paper rolls
  • Start, stop, and monitor bag machinery to ensure it is running at the budgeted machine speed
  • Thread paper through the machine smoothly as needed
  • Pack bags as specified
  • Ensure correct quantities of bags are placed in the press
  • Report required machine adjustments and repairs to the machine assistant, adjuster, and/or supervisor
  • Submit accurate production reports daily and on time
  • Meet/achieve goals for safety, quality, production waste, and housekeeping set by management
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external customers
  • Must be able to think quickly, work with limited supervision, and make sound decisions
  • Must be a team player with a "can-do" attitude
  • Must possess basic mechanical skills
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry 50 lbs
  • Must have basic troubleshooting skills
  • Must have a valid drivers license
