Job description

Job Description
Do you like to use your analytic skills and operational mindset to help protect America, our citizens, and interests? Our employees design, integrate, and test the world's next generation communication and electronic warfare systems for the United States DoD and international customers. You will be among the brightest minds, working on the aerospace and defense industry's most difficult problems. Drawing strength from our differences, we're innovating for the future. We put our customers first - exemplified by our mission: "We Protect Those Who Protect Us®." Sound like a team you want to be a part of? Come build your career with us.
BAE Systems' Mission Assessments (MA) organization is revolutionizing how mission-level operational analysis is planned, executed, and delivered. The Mission Assessments organization was created to address the rapidly increasing demand for mission-level operational analysis. Our mission is to achieve excellence in multidomain (MDO), systems-of-systems (SoS) Mission Assessments and effectively communicate the value of BAE Systems products to customers, DoD leadership and warfighters. To do this, we bring together models of advanced technologies, weapons, platforms, and threats in relevant mission simulations - and then apply our deep subject matter expertise and experience to deliver assessments that can change the world.
BAE Systems is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Study Analyst to join the Mission Assessments team. Study Analysts collaborate with design teams assessing threats, developing and quantifying operational level systems requirements, developing operational systems concepts, and assessing mission effectiveness in simulated environments. Analysts perform operational analysis and mission engineering studies using a wide variety of DoD, existing and self-developed modeling & simulation tools.
Study Analysts should have a deep understanding of the many tools and tradecraft techniques to perform effective modeling, simulation, and analysis. They should have an understanding of BAE Systems technology areas such as integrated Electronic Warfare (EW) systems including Electronic Attack (EA), Electronic Protection (EP) and Electronic Support (ES) for RF sensing, detection, identification, geolocation, and jamming; infrared (IR) imaging, guidance, survivability and targeting; C4ISR for actionable intelligence including SIGINT, EO/IR, Multi-INT, and hyperspectral solutions; and information technologies including fusion and dynamic mission battle management. Study Analysts should also have strong communication and presentation skills and be effective in communicating study considerations, methods, and results to BAE Systems' internal and external customers. Responsibilities include:
  • Perform mission simulation using government and industry standard tools to determine mission effectiveness
  • Perform engagement simulation using standard tools, with an emphasis on DIADS, AFSIM, and MATLAB
  • Perform modeling and simulation studies that optimize mission performance for weapon systems across the air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains
  • Plan and perform studies using customer and stakeholder requirements to determine MOEs, MOPs, and TPMs and the methods and tools used to produce them
  • Develop and apply advanced software and systems methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation, analysis and solution of complex and advanced technical problems
  • Develop visualizations of the battlespace at mission and engagement levels
  • Use, develop, and modify tools to support:
    • Data analysis of simulation or flight test results
    • Requirements analysis
  • Interface with internal and external customers

We are targeting to have the selected candidate start on June 15, 2026.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this role, it will be performed full-time onsite. This means work will be conducted on location at BAE Systems facilities 100% of the time.
