Location
  • East Brunswick, NJ (FedEx Ground Terminal)

Employment
  • W2 company driver

Equipment
  • Freightliner Daycabs or Kenworth Sleeper with automatic transmission
  • Maintained under a strict and frequent preventative maintenance program - we operate only safe, well-maintained trucks.

Position Overview
  • Strange Trip Inc. is hiring flexible backup CDL Class A drivers to join our growing FedEx Ground operation out of East Brunswick, NJ.
  • We're a family-owned, safety-oriented carrier based in New Jersey.
  • We take pride in treating every driver with respect, fairness, and honesty - at Strange Trip, you're not just a driver, you're family.

Requirements
  • CDL Class A License
  • Night shift. Must be willing to work an evening/night schedule.
  • Must be flexible to cover shifts as needed
  • Minimum 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
  • Clean MVR and background check.
  • Strong work ethic and punctuality
  • Commitment to customer service, safety, and equipment cleanliness
  • Must perform thorough pre-trip inspections.

Runs
  • This position is for a backup driver supporting our East Brunswick operations, covering routes to various locations throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania that will allow you to return home after each shift
  • We operate at least 5 days per week and are looking for a dependable backup driver who can step in and provide coverage as needed

  • Competitive trip-based pay with extra compensation for hooking/unhooking trailers.
  • Weekly Pay via direct deposit
