Job description

We are seeking to hire a Marketing Coordinator to join our team. In this role you will help expand our B2B and D2C business through a variety of marketing campaigns and strategies, including coordinating and overseeing growth through email marketing, social media campaigns, brand awareness through blogs, SEO, and more! We are also relaunching our websites, and web development skills are a plus. We are seeking someone who can think creatively and tackle these objectives organically. Although this is largely a Marketing role, some help with managing ecommerce accounts, such as Amazon and Walmart would be a huge plus. A large focucs will be on optimizing our listings on these accounts, while simultaneously looking at broader marketing effors. With this position we are ideally looking for someone who has a love for the outdoors, and is able to apply personal experience and knowledge of camping, hiking and backpacking into their creative content within this role.

*We are looking for someone located in Los Angeles who could come into the office. Some remote days may become an option, but the role is intended to be preformed in the office.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Large focus on Amazon marketing content: Page optimizations, product feature graphics, A+ content, comparison charts.
  • Launching new brand websites this year. We will be working with an agency on the larger project, but some web development skills to maintain the sites is a plus. Sites run on the Big Commerce platform.
  • Help expand our D2C business by growing our brand awareness through a variety of marketing campaigns.
  • Large focus on email marketing strategies. Brainstorm and execute email campaigns, as well as find ways to grow our overall contact list.
  • Help grow website sales through promotions targeted towards current customer base while also finding ways to grow our audience.
  • Responsible for managing social media accounts and implementing strategies to grow followers and engagement.
  • Improve organic search through SEO optimization.
  • Copywriting for product descriptions, social media captions and ads.
  • Help strategize blog post topics and work with various bloggers, both for our own blog and expanding our reach to new audiences. Experience with blog writing is a plus.
  • Expand brand awareness by working with review sites and giveaways.
  • Demonstrated experience with Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns.
  • Some help with customer reviews and questions through Bazaarvoice.

Qualifications:

  • Must have demonstrated experience working with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Experience running successful email marketing campaigns.
  • Experience running successful social media campaigns.
  • Experience with Facebook, Instagram and Google Ads.
  • Experience with a PIM/DAM system is a plus (we use Salsify)
  • Experience with ecommerce content for accounts such as Amazon and Walmart
  • Experience with SEO and keyword optimization.
  • Must be detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of camping and outdoor recreation gear is a huge plus!
