Backend Software Engineer (Hybrid)Position Overview

We are looking for a talented Backend Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale high-impact platform services. In this role, you will work across multiple product areas, developing reliable backend systems while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect, develop, and support backend applications and services from concept through production.
  • Design, implement, and automate testing for scalable distributed systems.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, create technical designs, and support project planning activities.
  • Build new features, resolve production issues, and develop proof-of-concept solutions to evaluate new approaches.
  • Take ownership of the complete software development lifecycle, including CI/CD processes, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
  • Assess emerging technologies, frameworks, and third-party solutions for potential adoption.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Customer Success teams to deliver impactful outcomes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong understanding of backend engineering principles, including microservices architecture, database design, and event-driven application development.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Java / Spring Boot

  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar technologies to improve development efficiency.
