The Senior Backend Developer - Software Engineer at Hyper Solutions plays a key role in designing, building, and scaling the software systems that power Hyper’s manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for developing and enhancing backend systems that enable engineering, operations, and service teams to manage manufacturing processes and data within a cohesive, high-performance web ecosystem.


This role contributes to the evolution of Hyper’s proprietary software platform, helping unify fragmented systems and drive efficiency across the organization. The Staff Software Engineer operates at a high level of ownership, influencing architecture decisions and ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and aligned with business needs.


This position is well-suited for an experienced backend engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building modern distributed systems, and wants to have a direct impact on manufacturing and operational workflows.


Core Responsibilities

  • Design and implement backend microservices using Node.js and TypeScript
  • Build scalable APIs for internal tools and external system integrations
  • Optimize database schemas, queries, and performance using PostgreSQL
  • Architect and evolve event-driven, asynchronous system components
  • Lead the modularization of systems into containerized microservices
  • Ensure backend systems are reliable, secure, and scalable in production environments

Additional Responsibilities

  • Drive improvements in automated testing, code quality, and system reliability

  • Experience integrating with third-party systems such as ERP or PLM platforms

Preferred Qualifications

Compensation

The anticipated minimum hiring range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000 per year plus bonus. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include, but are not limited to, relevant experience, skills, certifications, and location. This hire will be eligible for a discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, such as individual and organizational performance.
