Job Summary:
WHOOP is on a mission to unlock human performance and healthspan, empowering members to perform at a higher level. The Backend Software Engineer will design and implement tools that integrate with hardware processes, delivering impactful solutions to WHOOP’s engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
• Design and build backend solutions to support hardware development, bringing data to those who need it with robust backend systems.
• Create tools that integrate with hardware equipment like environmental chambers, oscilloscopes, and other engineering devices.
• Develop APIs and services to enhance connectivity across hardware workflows.
• Automate and maintain high-throughput data pipelines to provide real-time insights to engineering teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional hardware teams to identify and address pain points in development workflows.
• Ensure systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with WHOOP’s mission to deliver innovative hardware solutions.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Proficiency in Python for backend development, with experience designing APIs and building distributed systems.
• Experience with data pipelines, database systems, and tool integration for hardware workflows.
