Job description

Everwood Preserving, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Cylinder Attendant. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and full benefit package. Hours are standard 2:30 pm- 11:00 pm Monday-Friday. Some overtime is possible. Any weekends will be voluntary work if needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists Treating Engineers by preparing lumber to be treated, changing out charges, quality control, and other duties as assigned
  • Load and unload lumber using forklift, stacking lumber up to 10-15 foot high
  • Uses controls to operate the transfer deck.
  • Uses drill to bore material samples.
  • Uses banding tool and tag gun to prepare lumber for treatment.
  • Monitors trams and production of cylinders to ensure efficient flow of material through equipment.
  • Prepares lumber for treatment.
  • Performs housekeeping and clean-up around cylinder and tram area.
  • Assists in picking up lumber and other materials due to spills as requested by Supervisor.
  • Assists in month-end inventory activities.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Lumber experience a plus!
  • Forklift Experience of 1+ year
