Job description

Senior Data Engineer / Backend Developer

Python, SQL, CICD/Devops, and Kafka.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable applications and data pipelines. This role requires strong expertise in Python for backend development and automation, proficiency in SQL for database management, experience with Kafka for building streaming data architectures, and solid DevOps and CI/CD skills to ensure continuous integration and delivery of our systems. Develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable backend services and data processing pipelines using Python. Design and optimize relational database schemas and write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions. Implement and manage real-time data streaming architectures using Apache Kafka for data ingestion, processing, and communication between microservices. Build, maintain, and enhance Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate application build, test, and deployment processes. Utilize and manage cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) to support application deployment and scalability. Work with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to deploy and manage applications. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and system failures in a timely manner.

Candidate must have excellent communication skills and experience of interacting with client senior leadership team. Should have experience with cross-functional teams in Agile Scrum Methodology. Should have managed at least 20 members team and mentored, coached, or guided teams/engineers. Should have experience in working with other IT teams, platforms, and dependent systems.
