As Southeast Orthopedic Specialists continues to grow, we are looking for a Back Office Clinic Lead! please see below for the functions and requirements for this position:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • In partnership with the Practice Manager and Clinic Supervisor, candidate shall coach and lead clinical staff to instill the organizations mission, vision and core values through education, demonstration, and results.
  • Leads clinical staff to efficiently direct patient flow throughout the clinic.
  • Assist back office staff as needed with rooming, assessment, procedure assist, and intake of medical history into EMR.
  • Resolves daily workplace issues and maintain efficient workflow; assures coverage of all areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure that back office new hires are adequately trained and consistently following the applicable Standard Operating Procedures and Workflows.
  • Shall lead on-going quality monitoring of competencies of staff and assist in training and educations of all back office staff.
  • Assists clinic management with receiving and reconciliation of medical supply, and medication, as necessary.
  • Provides support to back office staff with patient issues, coordinates break and lunch coverage throughout the day.
  • Monitors hallway for clean and properly stocked exam rooms per supply/instrument check list. Also, ensures that check-off list is accurate and completed.
  • Assists with training and monitors the work of other back office staff, on-site, maintaining documentation and providing performance feedback to Clinic Supervisor.
  • Complies with infectious waste procedures and control measure, and exam room and lab cleanliness as per protocol. 
  • Works flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and overtime, as necessary.
  • Ensure new and existing back office staff have received all necessary and required training and have the skills necessary to complete their work.
  • Assist Clinic Supervisor to review, implement, maintain and monitor the department's policies and procedures.
  • Disseminate information to back office stats as necessary, regarding updates, changes and new developments with clinic policies and procedures, software updates, reports, and provides staff training as needed.

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Medical Assistant Certificate.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years working experience in a medical practice or clinic.
