Job description

Customer Service Representative

When you choose Henry Ford Neurology Associates - New Baltimore in Chesterfield Township, Michigan, you are connected with an experienced neurologist who diagnoses and treats neurological disorders. Our specialists provide advanced care for conditions that affect your brain, spine and nerves, including epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy, stroke, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease and more. We provide diagnostic tests, innovative medical therapies and nonsurgical care.

The candidate will work in a customer service capacity providing administrative and clerical support to patients and customers in a medical setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Greets patients and visitors, checks patients in and out, and obtains necessary documentation.
  • Verifies and enters demographic information.
  • Obtains and verifies insurance authorizations/precertification.
  • Completes medical record release requests and schedules/confirms patient appointments.
  • Enters, reviews and submits charges for patient procedures and services daily. Collects co-payments and reconciles all daily reports and deposits for accuracy.
  • Provides general office and clerical support to assigned area.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
